I love Cuisinart CYM-100 Electronic Yogurt Maker with Automatic Cooling. I 've had for about a month every batch turns out great . we make yogurt every other day so pays for it self very quickly with 5 of us eating yogurt. All i do is mix milk and yogurt together put it in the machine and push a button. Can’t get much easier than that. Very tasty yogurt.

I didn't think it was possible to improve on my old Salton yogurt maker but then that assumption was proved TOTALLY incorrect by this unit: It's nothing short of amazing! The first batch of yogurt I made with it turned out so rich and thick (with 2% milk) that it didn't need to be strained to qualify as "Greek-style".

Before buying this product I made yogurt a number of different ways. Originally I used a Euro Cuisine Yogurt Maker. Then when that method didn't produce enough yogurt I started making larger quantities is a 100 degree oven. Both those methods would require some prep work and time management.

I have to say this Cuisinart CYM-100 Electronic Yogurt Maker with Automatic Cooling makes great yogurt. Can't understand why some are having issues. I start with freeze dried live culture, I do not and will not use store bought yogurt for a starter. I have much better luck this way. I now only make Greek yogurt and this makes it perfect.

After using it some and experimenting with raw unpasteurized milk, organic pasteurized whole milk, and coconut milk, I can tell you that pasteurized whole milk makes the best yogurt in terms of smoothness and thickness. Using Fage plain yogurt as a starter makes a very velvety - creamy yogurt. There have been studies showing that people gain more weight drinking 2% milk than whole milk. Eat healthy fats like coconut oil, olive oil, butter, avocado, and whole milk.

Conclusion

I have a yogurt cheese strainer (Cuisipro Donvier Yogurt Cheese Maker) that is so simple to use and makes great Greek yogurt. BUT - it will not work with raw milk yogurt since the yogurt is thinner. You need to use coffee filters with raw milk yogurt. The Cuisipro strainer works great with yogurt made from pasteurized whole milk. So creamy and thick, Also, I like yogurt from whole milk , makes the batch very creamy and smooth.

I, who am not fond of soy milk yoghurt, tried the resulting Cuisinart CYM-100 Electronic Yogurt Maker with Automatic Cooling product and have to agree with her that it is tasty and very creamy with an excellent consistency. We prefer a creamy consistency versus the jello-y style of a lot of American yoghurts (excluding Greek style).
