Yummy Fast and easy breakfasts! Reviews West Bend TEM4500W Egg and Muffin Toaster

This West Bend TEM4500W Egg and Muffin Toaster works awesome! I love breakfast sandwich's and this thing delivers! It works great, just make sure you spray the little Egg Pans so that the Eggs come out easy. I put ham in the meat tray, and the juice from the ham drips onto the the Eggs below adding a little extra flavor.
4 Slice Egg & Muffin Toaster - West Bend TEM4500W- Kitchen Appliances
Simple and easy to use...It cooks really fast, and Egg Muffin Sandwich was awesome. The water measuring cup that that comes with it has a little spike under it so you can put a hole in the top of your eggs so they don't pop when hard boiling them. If you want a quick breakfast without having to dirty up a bunch of dishes, this is a good choice. What more can you ask for!
  • Four slice toaster, with egg cooker and meat warmer, 1800-watt, cetl listed
  • Defrost function for defrosting breads, bagels and croissants
  • Light to dark control setting for toasting preferences
  • Egg cooker tray to scramble or poach eggs, basket to soft or hard boil up to 8 eggs
  • Meat tray to warm pre-cooked meat, fruit or vegetabels
This isn't rocket science but the time saved in cleanup more than justifies the $59 price tag. I eat low cal and she eats low carb and this West Bend TEM4500W machine works for us both. I picked up some eggs, whole wheat english muffins, sliced cheddar cheese and a package of sliced ham from the deli. With a little experimenting, I was enjoying a delicious, lower cal version of Egg McMuffins for breakfast every morning

1) English muffin 143 calories
2) Large egg 74 calories
3) 2 slices canadian bacon 50 calories
4) 1 slice cheese 70 calories

Complete breakfast ready in 10 minutes 337 Calories. Low sodium and completely delicious.
1) 2 scrambled eggs 148 calories <1 carb
2) 2 slices of cheese 140 calories <1 carb
3) 3 slices canadian bacon 75 calories <1 carb

Basically, you select a level of toast for your bread/English muffin. Wipe little provided pan down with a thin layer of butter (or spray, I guess although the directions have specific recommendations for the use of cooking spray). Crack an egg in to the pan, scramble, open yolk, or leave for sunny side up. measure out water to desired cooking level (provided measuring cup tells you where soft/med/hard is), dump in heating pan. Put the tray on top, meat on top of that if desired, hit the "toast/egg" button, then depress the toaster lever.
