Reviews Babycakes CP-12 Cake Pop Maker, 12 Cake Pop Capacity

I bought this  Babycakes CP-12 Cake Pop Maker for my daughters for Christmas. Very convenient to use, no need to mash up cake batter into cake pops. A bit tricky with the temperature though, no control button so my first few attempts at cake pops were a hit and miss. This applies to the quantity of batter poured into the rounded slots.
Bake 12 cake pops or doughnut holes in just minutes. Buy Babycakes CP-12 Cake Pop Maker
First attempt, the cake turned out perfectly into rounded mass, some were baked perfectly while some were burned. The key is to follow the instructions and to have someone who knows how the different type of mixes bake. The brownie mix takes a little longer than the white cake mix. The gingerbread pops took 3.5 minutes, but my wife decreased the water by about an ounce, so the batter was a little heavy.

Don't use this Babycakes CP-12 Cake Pop Maker for the first time and expect to have perfect pops. Moreover, don't use this the night before you are planning to have some pops for an occasion...practice a bit because this and dipping to have a clean look takes some practice. Cooking time...-if you are a perfectionist as I am, it doesn't take 6 minutes for your pops to finish...so don't even count on using that as a guide. Rather, use your own judgement. I believe waiting 6 minutes will give you dry, if not burnt pops. I used pillsbury cake mix and i'd set my timer for 3 minutes, open Babycakes CP-12 Cake Pop Maker and all the pops were almost done.

As for recipes it takes a little tweaking, we've cooked all of our favorite pastry recipes in it, although we have made modifications to some, because runny batter does not work that well in a cake pop maker. Recently we've been using canned dough in it. Our favorite concoction is crescent roll with a chunk of cheese in the middle, holy Nellie is that good. We keep joking that we're going to get a food truck and sell nothing but Baby Cakes.

I have used this Babycakes CP-12 Cake Pop Maker, 12 Cake Pop Capacity product several times and I love it. The more I do it, the more I learn about making better pops. It's a great hobby item and I think it's a lot easier than heating up the oven to make a batch of pops or using the method of crumbling up cake and shaping it into balls.
